[Cvsnt] client login problems!

I am currently having trouble configuring one of the clients running cvsnt.
when the client attempts to login the following message occurs:-

cvs [login aborted]: the :pserver: access method is not supported by this port of cvs

I cannot find any FAQ's with this message!

All other clients have no problem loging in to the system

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated
