I'm running Norton Antivirus, NetMeeting, ThinkPad Power management
software, IIS, and MySQL.
I have stopped/killed all non-essential services and tasks:
1. GEARSec
2. Norton
3. Diskeeper
4. IIS
5. Xerox printer driver
6. WAN miniport driver (AOL)
7. SMTP
8. NUT Cracker ( Rational Software)
Same results: started/terminated connection:
C:\>cvsservice -test
CVS 1.11.1.3 rc1 (Build 53) (Feb 25 2002) starting in test mode.
Adding repository e:/srv/cvs
Adding repository e:/srv/sft
Adding repository e:/srv2/prj2
TEMP/TMP currently set to D:\Temp
Initialising socket...ok
Impersonation is enabled
Starting auth server on port 2401/tcp...
Starting named pipe server...
CVS initialised successfully
08490dff: Process 000000a0 started
08490e1d: Process 000000a0 terminated
Path is:
Path=C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\WINNT\System32\Wbem;D:\App\CVS\CvsNT;
And I have installed the most current security fixes for Windows 2000
(service pak's included.)
Hope this helps to resolve this problem.
