If I remember correctly, the "original" CVS was coded in such a way that
the SunOS 4 compiler could compile it. So, if you are having troubles
getting CVS 1.11.1.1p1 to compile, you might be best off asking
info-cvs at gnu.org since there is probably somebody else that runs it on
SunOS subscribed to that (spam-filled) mailing list.
