[Cvsnt] Newbie *** Connection refused: Unknown command "Files\CVS"

I get the following error when attempting to access a local server on w2k
using Eclipse CVS www.eclipse.org

It seems the repository is initialized, but I don't know, and I don't know
how to check it.
