No. One feature issue like the crash dump behavior is not a good reason
to take on the very high responsibility of a fork. There are so many
dead projects in SourceForge as examples, lets not plant another tree
just yet.
If the feature is important enough and you feel you can run a fork grab
the sources and implement the change, run it in your production
environment until it's stable and then let Tony know about it and
provide a patch for his input. If it still goes nowhere and you've
proven at least through the above then *think hard* about forking.
