You could set up a "hosts switcher" -- basically a script that 
alternates between a hosts file (c:\windows\drivers\etc\hosts) that 
points to the work IP when at work, then the remote IP when away.  You 
check out from the host name, then Windows will work out which IP it 
goes to.
