[cvsnt] file status change

Hi,
our developers just noticed that some files (.java) were added (for unknown reason)to the cvs repository (under cvsnt server) as binaries. We'd like to change the file status from binary to file and still keep tracking on versions. Is it possible? Maybe some work around?
