Just a guess:

Sometimes the antivirus software slows down file access so dramatically that
cvs runs into a timeout. Particularly with .doc and .dot files. 

Try committing with the AV software switched off.

When I try to commit the repository I'm getting following error.

cvs server: cannot lock `D:/pjt/mobilefit/mobilefit/03. Testing &
Implementation/MFPTS_USM_1.00.doc,v'.

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****


I've following option is enabled in CVSNT -->Advanced

1.Impersonation enabled.
2.Use local users for pserver authentication instead of domain users.


Kindly help me to solve this issue.
