I am using Wincvs as the client. The error I mentions happens when I want to
show graph of the file.

I *think* that was a problem with binary delta or compression in a 
particular version of CVSNT.  Check your cvs version.  Run a "cvs 
version" and "cvs status cwProg" and post the results.  The latest CVSNT 
might resolve your problem?
