What is going on is that you are using SAMBA which is *not* a supported
configuration.
If you search for cvsn and samba I am sure you will find tons of hits
where this is described.

removeCVS/Entries.Old: Invalid argument
Hi to all,
Current problem is that the user cannot commit his changes due to the following abort:
cvs [update aborted]: unable to remove CVS/Entries.Old: Invalid argument
Configuration is:
Repository on W2K-Server with CVSNT on it.
Sandbox on AIX
Client is connected to sandbox on AIX via SAMBA (Network Share)
Protocol is pserver
Client uses WinCvs
Can you explain what is going on there.
Thanks in advance
Mit freundlichem Gruß / kind regards
