[cvsnt] Handling of trailing / in path

Hi Folks

When I issue:
  cvs up dev/rsm/
I get the following error:
  cvs [server aborted]: cannot find dev/rsm/: No such file or directory
Whereas
  cvs up dev/rsm
Works as expected.

I'd expect it to be straight forward to strip a trailing / or \, in fact I believe that's how it used to work.
