The 2.5.02 mentioned there is now 2.6.01 - there was a renumbering as 
the number of features in the interim release was too many to still call 
it 2.5.01.  2.6.01 is behind schedule but still in the roadmap & I'll 
hopefully be able to get testing releases for that out within the next 
couple 2-3 weeks.

I have considered removing the val-tags code from this release - you 
could get away without it - but it's too much of a change at the moment 
(you could in fact do it yourself - put a return statement in tag.cpp 
line 1234, just before the val_tags check is made).
