Although, i believe u hv already sorted out this
problem, i still feel obliged to help.  pls, reply if
or not the mail wuz helpful.

i had the same problem u had with Eclipse 3.01 and i
was able to solve it.  Like Tony said,

in the cvsnt control panel--Compatibility tab, choose
Generic non-cvsnt as client, and check all the 3
options below.  

then try to login again..

if u still hv problems, i guess the best thing to do
is to describe the error message and the point where
it happened.
