If you reflect a bit on how CVS works it is apparent that a tag
supplied with a file on committing a change *must* be a branch tag,
because otherwise the file carries a *sticky* tag and those cannot be
committed anyway....
So, yes, the %t will give you the branch tag of each file if existing
otherwise it will be empty.
