[cvsnt] Using a Linux CVSNT client with sspi to CVSNT Windows server

I have CVSNT server installed and running for some
time with Windows clients OK. I am now trying to add
a Linux client, but having connectivity issues.
Details follow:

Server: Win 2003 Server running CVSNT ver 2.0.41
Windows client: Win XP running CVSNT 2.0.41, windows
domain user name: sha, CVSROOT used:
:sspi:servername:/reponame
Linux client: RedHat Enterprise Linux Workstation
version 3 running CVSNT 2.5.01

Attempt to login from linux:

[steve at localhost steve]$ cvs -d
:sspi:sha at servername.domainname:/reponame login
Logging in to
:sspi:sha at servername.domainname:2401:/reponame
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: Authentication protocol rejected
access

The password entered is definitely correct.

I can ping the server OK, and everything works fine
from the Windows client, so I don't understand why the
Linux client is not working.

I've googled for the exact format of the CVSROOT to
use with CVSNT but not been able to find any
CVSNT-specific details for this. The only other thing
I can think of is the version of the client used - on
Windows it is 2.0.41, on Linux it is 2.5.01, but have
not been able to locate 2.0.41 client for Linux to
download.

Can anybody offer any help/comments on this; I'm sure
I've just missed something here...

Thanks,

Steve
