[cvsnt] Problem with directory sticky tags on cvs.cvsnt.org

I've been seeing this for a while already but never got round to
reporting it (or did I?):

I typically only update my CVSNT sandbox to the release tags. However,
whenever I do this I get an error message like the following:

cvsnt [server aborted]: tag 'CVSNT_2_5_03_2141
' has non-visible graphic characters

(note the wrap between the tagname and the closing quotation mark)

This happens regardless of which command I try to invoke in that
sandbox. The only way to continue working is by manually removing all
the CVS/Tag files from the sandbox and then trying again.

I cannot reproduce this at all against any of our own CVSNT servers
(2.0.51d and 2.5.03.2141 as of today). I cannot say since when I've
been seeing this behaviour but it's been the there for a really long
time. Last client version used was build 2141. I'm updating to 2147 now.
Any ideas?
