History is mostly superseded by audit which stores the info in an SQL database (the easiest is SQLite).

You'll need to use a report writer (or MS Excel) to create reports.  Use the "CVS Server" control panel on the server to set it up (or if you are using Linux/Unix edit the /etc/cvsnt/PServer and /etc/cvsnt/Plugins) files.
