[cvsnt] Is there step by step guide to setup and test CVSNT?

Hello,

I installed CVSNT and WinCVS on my machine. But while login to CVS sever
error is 

cvs [login aborted]: The :local: protocol does not support the login
command

 how to  change the protocol ? I am using win2.0.2.4... 

Is there some beginner's guide showing setup of CVS client server with
an example?
