Ha, I should have looked farther. This was easy. Here's what you do:

Go here:

http://lena.franken.de/linux/create_certificate.html

and copy and paste the shell script into a script of your own. run it and
answer the simple questions. This generates a certificate and private key
for you. Put them someplace safe and point to them in your
/etc/cvsnt/PServer file.

Connect with a CVSROOT like this:

:sserver:userid at hostname:/repository

Easy!
