[cvsnt] Error in connecting with :pserver

Hi All

When I am trying to login using :pserver protcol, I am getting the following error.

C:\>cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:sudheern at 10.12.33.143:2401:/CVSREPOS
CVS password: ********
cvs [login aborted]: connect to 10.12.33.143:2401 failed: No connection could be
 made because the target machine actively refused it.

I have created a temp repository on my machine and trying to connect. (My machine is acting as Server and Client).

When I tried telnet 2401, I am getting the following error.

C:\>telnet cvsdude.org 2401
Connecting To cvsdude.org...Could not open connection to the host, on port 2401: Connect failed

Can some one give some idea to proceed further??
