[cvsnt] Unable to initialize the CVS repository.

I have installed the CVSNT on Solaris 9 having patch
Generic_118558-24 but when I am trying to initialize
the repository through the command "cvs –d
$HOME/CVSREPO init" a core dump is generated at the
following location CVSREPO/CVSROOT.
Can anybody help me resolving the above issue.
