You can configure your server to ignore client side "k" wrappers and
adjust your server's cvswrappers file to handle any file types you use
that aren't in the standard list.
Use "cvs info cvswrappers" to check what the server settings currently are.

Maybe not, but it's a problem of inconsistency -- if you used multiple
client types you might have the same file type come in several different
ways. It quickly becomes a server problem in that case.
