Hi gang,
I have been trying to get Eclipse to work with our cvsnt server and have
hit a wall. I was wondering if anyone out there in cvsnt land might have
some input (especially maybe Tony or Arthur).
I dumbed our whole setup down to the following specs: cvsnt2.5.03.2382
(server), linux Redhat EL4, with windows clients running Eclipse 3.3. We
are connecting with pserver. I also have the cvsnt server configured to
emulate the old cvs functionality (respond as cvs 1.11 and the -n update
bug), although these compatibility options seem to not make a difference
at all.
Ok, so here's the problem. If I connect and try to browse the repository
using Eclipse's browser (perspectives or otherwise), I get the following
error:
Resource CVSROOT/ is not a child of folder
The part that says "CVSROOT" is variable. It seems to get stuck trying to
recurse the directory structure (in the case, seemingly getting stuck
trying to get a directory listing of the CVSROOT folder, but could be any
folder I put in the module fields). This also happens if I try to check
out any module that has subfolders.
The interesting thing to me though, is that if I try this with the exact
same setup except with the server running on windows instead of linux, it
seems to work fine. That's why I'm posting here instead of the Eclipse
list. What is different between cvsnt on linux and cvsnt on windows that
might cause this sort of behavior?
Thanks a lot!
Brian
