[cvsnt] cannot open CVS/Entries for reading: No such file ordirectory

The command

cvs -d :sspi:server-hostname:/repo-name rls

launched from server machine's prompt works fine but i can't execute

cvs info -b
cvs info -r server-hostname

because -b and -r options aren't supported by the cvs info command.
