Differences between UD6/CMtool and UD7/XML-DATA and W3C XML-DATA format
March Hare produce two (2) drivers that write XML files for Uniface:
Both produce XML files that are based on the XML-DATA standard from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) which can be found on their web site at:
http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/NOTE-XML-data/
However, the UD6/CMtool is specifically designed enable Uniface source code to be stored in text files, for the purpose of making developing and managing Uniface source code easier and more flexible.
The UD7/XML-DATA driver is specifically designed to meet the needs of organisations needing to interface with systems that communicate data in the XML-DATA format.
