Multiple implementations
- Each implementation of a component requires a unique signature
- Use Application Workbench to select components and define additional signatures
- Each component must implement the same operations with the same number of parameters
- Mapping parameter types is handled by Uniface
- Implementations include:
- C (including Pascal, Delphi etc)
- CICS
- COM
- CORBA-Visibroker
- Encina
- IMS/DC
- Tuxedo
- Database Stored Procedure (only some databases supported)
- Operating System command (EXE), requires Component Server
