We know, clicking an icon should display a window, and when you
click on it, doesn't happen anything. This is serious bug, facing
the case, that it is the configuration panel of CVSNT.
A blocking bug, so I can not call such release as stable.
Also this bug seems to be live since a long time.
cvsnt-2.0.51d.exe was relased in 15-Sep-2004, which had
a working Control Panel. I consider this as stable release,
since it is the last version, where CP was working.

Interesting, that a blocker bug doesn't matter in 2.5.x and 2.6.x.

I'm single developer, so currently I do not need remote
repository feature. I'm using just :local: connection.

I understand your point.
I really appreciate the hard development work all of you do for
the public domain, and the good support on this list.
However I'm also a developer, and it's shocking to meet a product,
which defines itself as stable, when the 2.5.x and 2.6.x versions
has a serious blocker feature.
Sorry for my critics, but we developers are living with user critics.
That's how the world is progressing. As web developer I also get
different critics, in different habits, and I try to tolerate - no matter
in what style was written - and I try to fix them.
If this is not a bug, and I did something wrong, accept my deepest
apologies. However I tried to close out every possible disturbing
factor, but unfortunately it seems the bug is reproducible several
times, for all the mentioned versions.
Installer built by Bo Berglund gave me big hopes, because it was
supposed that will fix the Control Panel issues. His website was
the first place, where I got information about this bug, telling:
"This installer now includes the MFC71U.dll file that was missing
before and caused the Control Panel icon to not show up."
http://web.telia.com/~u86216177/cvsntinstaller.html
Maybe I did something wrong, but the
http://web.telia.com/~u86216177/cvsnt-2.5.3.2330.zip
package still did not fix my Control Panel issue.
I hope that this problem will be solved soon.

If I ask it mildly, would anybody feel how disappointed am I?
I installed a product, hearing a lot good opinions about it,
but I need to face with trivial install bug, which is blocking me
to continue exploring the real software features.
WINCVS Latest Development Release, WinCvs 2.0.3 was released
on 2006-02-21. It still has the cvsnt-2.0.51d server version bundled
into the package, which was relased in 15-Sep-2004.
They must have a very good reason, to still pack the 2 year old
2.0.51d server setup, and I think this is the Control Panel issue.

I run the control panel as windows administrator.
Other suggestion to fix the problem?
BTW:
Is this bug happens rarely?
Or everybody under Windows XP is affected by it?
Thanks your help in advance,
