[cvsnt] Help Needed

You won't see it with netstat.  Do this instead (I typed some garbage 
and hit 'enter'):

[gstarret at stanley ~]$ telnet localhost 2401
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
lsdkjffj
cvsnt [server aborted]: bad auth protocol start: lsdkjffj
error
Connection closed by foreign host.
