Labels on Paint Tableau have incorrect shape (bold, italic, underline).
This issue can occur when using UD6 and UD6 Option Pack and a label contain a mix of bold/italic/underline shapes/attributes.
UD6 Option Pack is designed to store the paint tableau of your Uniface application and to operate with the Uniface IDF. To improve the XML readability and processing we simplified the italic, underline and bold shapes/attributes to describe the entire label. However it is possible to store a single label with a mix of attributes, eg:
This is a complex label.
Under most circumstances UD6 Option Pack will store labels that are bold, underline and italic or any combination (eg: bold+italic). Under most other cases UD6 Option Pack (including the one above) will correctly store labels that have some words with one attribute/shape, but other words with a different shape/attribute.
Under some rare cases, UD6 Option Pack does not correctly encode and decode complex cases of different shapes for different words in a single label.
There are three solutions to this:
